Partner with MarComm

Work with us as we continue to build the Notre Dame brand.

It may sound obvious, but no creative agency knows Notre Dame like MarComm. But the implications of being the in-house agency are deep. The University is a place that requires a longstanding presence to understand its unique culture, history, and mission, characteristics that in turn require a certain approach to communication here. MarComm has cultivated the Notre Dame brand for years, crafting it to express the attributes that make Our Lady’s University distinctive. We are creators and stewards of the Notre Dame identity as it lives in media materials, and we partner with our colleagues across campus so that they can participate in this exciting and rewarding endeavor.

Our Partnership Goals

  • To approach each project strategically, creatively, and with campus partner goals in mind while also incorporating the strength of the master brand of the University of Notre Dame.
  • To work closely with partners so that projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • To ensure, once a project is completed, that invoicing from MarComm is prompt and accurate out of respect to individual partner budgets.

How We Work

Beginning a project with us is easy. Simply reach out to a member of our client services team, or fill out the appropriate contact form. Most projects start with an intake meeting to discuss your goals and some preliminary ideas. In these meetings, we tend to ask lots of questions. If you don’t have the answers at the start, don’t worry. We’ll get there together.

Prior to starting a job, we work with our campus clients to come to an agreed-upon budget. All time invested in executing the project is tracked and billed to the quarter hour. A flat-rate project management fee is added to the cost of the project at completion.

As a department within the University of Notre Dame, we use FOAPAL numbers to invoice. Note: A FOAPAL number is required prior to MarComm starting any work. Large print and web projects are billed at the completion of the job, while smaller support projects are billed on a quarterly basis (July–September, October–December, January–March, and April–June). To ensure budget compliance, all fourth-quarter support projects are closed and invoiced prior to the close of the fiscal year. If a project spans over the end of one fiscal year and the beginning of another, a partial bill may be issued prior to the end of the fiscal year to cover all costs incurred up to that time.

Rush projects are eligible to be billed at double the following posted rates. All rates are effective as of July 1, 2016.
